Stephen R. Collins

Stephen joined Monetate as CEO in August 2018. Stephen is a growth through innovation oriented business leader with extensive management expertise and a deep passion for embracing customer challenges and opportunities.
Stephen began his career in 1988 as an auditor with the accounting firm of PriceWaterhouseCoopers. After starting his career in public accounting, Stephen joined Colgate-Palmolive Co. in 1992 as a member of their global finance organization focused primarily on emerging markets in Eastern Europe. In early 1997 into 2002, Stephen moved into the technology industry as a member of the leadership team during the start-up and explosive growth phase at DoubleClick which was acquired by Google in 2007. Stephen’s career in technology continued between 2002 and 2007 as a significant shareholder and CEO of Juris, Inc. a software company serving the legal market that was acquired in 2007 by LexisNexis. In 2010, Stephen joined e-commerce SaaS solutions provider Bazaarvoice as CFO where he led the company through a successful IPO and follow-on offering in 2012. In November of 2012, Stephen assumed the CEO role at Bazaarvoice after the departure of the company’s CEO and co-founder. More recently in June of 2015 to May of 2017, he served as CFO and President of San Francisco based programmatic advertising technology company Quantcast.
In addition to his operating roles, Stephen is an active angel investor, business advisor and director. Currently, he serves on the board of Kenshoo, Inc., a digital marketing technology provider, and is an operating partner at Blackwatch Advisors, a financial advisory services and early-stage venture investment firm.
Stephen holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Alabama and is a CPA. Stephen is a competitive road cyclist one of the leading supporters of the USA Cycling Development Foundation as a member of their Champion’s Club.

Brian is CTO at Monetate, a Philly-based SaaS company focused on creating meaningful, personalized interactions between the world’s leading brands and their customers. Monetate’s platform personalizes over a hundred billion interactions each year, powered by sophisticated Artificial Intelligence that learns from millions of events each second.
Previously, as CTO of Health Market Science (HMS), Brian leads the healthcare-focused data management and analytics company through a successful acquisition by LexisNexis.
Brian has published and contributed to books on machine learning, real-time processing and distributed systems. This has led to recognition as a perennial Datastax Cassandra MVP and winner of InfoWorld’s Technology Leadership award.
Brian began his career in Silicon Valley, but as a Philadelphia native, has returned to the region and is dedicated to growing the innovative, entrepreneurial spirit of the city.

Lisa Kalscheur is an accomplished senior marketing executive. She has led the evolution of many high-growth technology companies, including NewsCred and AppNexus. She has driven company revenue by building and leading diverse, agile teams of top-performing marketers to match the growing needs of global customer brands. Lisa’s expertise extends across marketing functions from brand, product marketing, demand generation, field and customer marketing, and marketing operations to content marketing, corporate communications, and digital and social media.
Lisa is a frequent speaker at industry conferences on building company and client brands, as well as organizational culture initiatives including women in the workplace, and diversity and inclusion. She was the founder and co-chair of the AppNexus Women’s Network.

As Chief Operating Officer of Monetate, Brandon ensures our products and services power the business success of our customers. As a seasoned technology executive, Brandon has 20 years of global leadership experience in both public companies and start-ups.
Prior to Monetate, Brandon was a senior executive at AppNexus, growing the ad tech platform from 30 to over 1,000 employees in 12 countries before its acquisition by AT&T for $1.7B in 2018. During this tenure, he served as SVP, Global Services, as well as Chief People Officer. His unique people strategies fostered growth and engagement for employees and customers alike.
Prior to AppNexus, Brandon worked at Opsware, a data center automation software provider founded by Ben Horowitz and Mark Andreessen. At Opsware, he led Operations for Global Services and built the Education Services function, before moving to Romania where he launched an off-shore engineering office. After Opsware’s acquisition by HP for $1.6B in 2007, Brandon became Solution Director, EMEA, Business Service Automation.
Prior to that, Brandon was Atlantic Director of Peter Marin Associates, which was acquired by Affiliated Computer Services (now owned by Xerox), where he led Services and Sales teams.
Early in his career, Brandon worked for the City of New York, Office of Technology, before joining his first start-up, CitySoft, where he was Managing Director, NY. Brandon has also served with AmeriCorps*VISTA as a community organizer for a nonprofit housing provider in Anchorage, Alaska.
Brandon has a degree in History from Rutgers University, where he earned highest honors for his thesis work. Brandon also has a Master’s in Public Affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas-Austin. He has a passion for endurance hiking, travel, photography, and spending time with his two boys and wife.

Dave joined Monetate in October 2014 as Vice President, General Counsel and was appointed as our Chief Legal Officer in December 2018. He leads Monetate’s Global Legal and Privacy Teams and champions our commitment to data privacy, ethics, compliance and risk management practices.
Prior to joining Monetate, Dave served as Senior Director, Business and Legal Affairs at Codexis, Inc., a publicly-traded biotechnology company. Dave has also worked at leading law firms in both New York City and Silicon Valley where his practice included Bank Finance, M&A and Corporate Securities and Governance.
Dave holds a Bachelor of Science degree in political science and history from the State University of New York at Oswego and a Juris Doctor degree from St. John’s University School of Law. He also holds numerous data privacy certifications, including CIPP-E, CIPP-US, CIPM and FIP.

Richard Rivera serves as the Chief Revenue Officer, responsible for the leading this exciting growth phase of sales and partnership go to market for Monetate, as the company is re-ignited with next gen AI and open-platform based strategies, poised to lead digital experience and personalization tech into to it’s next generation.
Richard has led an exceptional career where he has built, led and sold in some of the most hyper growth success stories in early to mid stage high tech. His journey has included Chief Revenue Officer leadership for cloud communications challenger Dialpad, transitioning the SMB upstart into a large enterprise go-to-market across direct sales, channel and services, for cloud communications leader Fuze, serving in multiple sales, services and operations leadership roles to SVP of WW Revenue Operations, driving over 400% revenue growth and a near $1B valuation, at customer experience platform leader Medallia as the West Sales VP of their initial enterprise go to market build, helping Medallia grew 300% to over $100M in revenue and a $1B valuation, at multiple leadership and global sales roles with BMC Software where he performed as a top 2% global seller for several years seeing BMC grow by an average of 35% while there, as well as at Bladelogic as a key top 5% sales contributor to its subsequent 2007 IPO and 2008 acquisition into BMC for just under $900M. Richard also started and ran sales consulting and training firm GENNOW, authoring several ebooks and programs on sales and leadership excellence.
For Monetate, Richard will be implementing best in class global sales excellence across enterprise, mid market and partnerships, built from many years in proven leadership systems and across markets around the world.

As Chief Financial Officer, Brian oversees the financial operations of Monetate. Brian has a background in public and private investing, as well as late and early stage finance and operations for technology companies.
Prior to Monetate, Brian was vice president of finance of Bazaarvoice, a social and ecommerce SaaS platform, responsible for F&PA, investor relations and corporate development, including the company’s IPO and served as the head of finance for Main Street Hub, an SMB SaaS marketing platform for local merchants. He previously worked as a public equity hedge fund investor at Tiger Management and an affiliated hedge fund, a private equity investor at Fox Paine & Co. and as an investment banker at Greenhill & Co.
He currently serves on the board of Loop & Tie, a corporate gifting platform, and as a mentor to early-stage technology companies at start up accelerators, Techstars and Capital Factory.
