Each year, we take some time at Summit to recognize a few outstanding customers. We call them the Monetate Awards.
Here’s a recap of this year’s winners:
Most Empowered Client
Is awarded to the customer who makes the most impressive use of the Monetate solution with little assistance from our services team.
And the winner:
Vera Bradley started with Monetate in September, and hit the ground running. They activated 58+ experiences in their first 3 months with Monetate, and over 100 experiences since then. 93% of actions available were created internally at Vera Bradley, which equates to over 156 reusable actions. They’ve also created over 150 events to track customer engagement with the site.
Best Internal Governance Program
Is awarded to a customer who has built a highly effective governance program around Monetate that spans multiple groups.

And the winner:
AutoZone recently revamped their governance and approval processes which has resulted in clearer internal communication and a significant increase in the number of experiences created (+600% compared to this time last year). Testing strategies are presented by the Ecomm team to a cross-departmental group of internal stakeholders on a weekly basis. The approved experiences are then prioritized and assigned an activation time range. Once the development team builds out an experience, preview links are distributed across the company for final approvals. Test experience results are analyzed and communicated to the larger group to determine next steps/iterations. This new structure allows for advancement of personalization & optimization initiatives within the company.
Rookie of the Year
Is awarded to a client who is within the first 12 months of their Monetate relationship and who have displayed aggressive adoption & implementation of Monetate internally. Meaningful business impact is also a key criteria for this award.
Ray-Ban began using Monetate the moment their integration was complete, which was just last July. Since then, they’ve run 76 experiences and created 116 unique actions on their own. Monetate paid for itself within the first 6 months.
Most Innovative Use of Platform
Is awarded to a client who has pushed the capabilities of our platform and used Monetate to help drive success in a particular goal through innovative solutions.
Johnston & Murphy
DirecTV’s goal is site experience optimization for their key customer segments. What makes them innovative is how they leverage their third-party DMP to do sophisticated audience analysis and segmentation and have integrated Monetate with the DMP Turn to take action and deliver personalized experiences to these key segments.
Monetate Customer Champions Award
We launched our Customer Champions program a little over a year ago to engage our most active customers and to help them share their enthusiasm for Monetate with the rest of the world. Customer Champions provide feedback, share content, offer to be a reference, and will even take the time to refer a potential new customer.
