I’m often asked two questions about Monetate’s infographics. The first has to do with how we actually create them, while the other is about getting a copy of an infographic that can be printed and displayed for others to see. Here are answers to both questions.
• How do we create infographics?
We try to publish two infographics a month around specific content themes. Once we have a topic, we’ll research accompanying data from comScore, eMarketer, Forrester, Gartner and others, and then create an outline, which is more like a storyboard that our friends at Column Five Media turn into the finished infographics we share with the online marketing community.
You also may have seen our infographics on Mashable, TechCrunch, VentureBeat, MarketingProfs, Econsultancy, and many other websites. These placements are made possible through some valuable press and media partnerships, which has led to some great award recognition and traffic to Monetate.com.
• How can you get a copy of one of our infographics in order to print it?
Onto the second common question. At anytime, you’re more than welcome to contact me and ask for one of our infographics suitable for printing. I’ll personally send you the Adobe Illustrator file (and any fonts) or a high-resolution PDF.
With that in mind, if you already have one of our infographics displayed in your office, we would love to know. Send us a photograph and we’ll add it to our “Monetate Hanging Around” board on Pinterest. We’ll take all the submissions and randomly select one of you to win a $100 Amazon gift card as a thank-you.
Lastly, you’re encouraged to share our infographics using the embed code that appears at the bottom of each post—and if you have an idea for our next infographic, I would love to hear from you.
