One way to reduce shopping cart abandonment is to test different locations for your Checkout buttons. Keep in mind that you likely don’t want to disrupt the checkout experience for visitors who are already familiar with the layout of your current cart. So we’ll target this campaign to first-time visitors only.
Next, we’ll select where to move the buttons. And we can move them anywhere on the page without any restrictions. That includes parts of the page that are well defined in the source code and even those that aren’t.
In this case, we’ll move the buttons currently located at the bottom, right of the screen to the top, center in the region shaded in yellow. We can then preview the new location of these buttons, which new visitors will see when they begin the checkout process.
