So L’OCCITANE is a very fast moving business. Every three weeks, we’re coming out with a new window with new products that we want to show people. And so with a tool like Monetate, what we’re able to do, essentially, is really customize the landing page very easily and quickly get some stats behind it, quickly show the significance of a particular piece of creative or tests that we’re doing. And when we can prove that model, you can really open the funnel and push a lot more traffic and really drive the results of your business.
So one of the really big wins for us using Monetate has been email consistency. Essentially, we have a very large email list. And we’re mailing them, typically, on a weekly basis. And every email has a promotion in it. So what we’re able to do with the consistency campaign is basically take the experience in the email with the actual promotion and merchandise the entire site with that promotion. And just having that visual clue there has significantly increased the performance of our email lists.
We love our relationship with our Monetate client services team. It’s a collaborative environment where they’re bringing a lot of ideas to the table. And we’re able to test things that we think are important. And really putting those two things together have led to some tremendous gains. And they truly are partners in our business.
