Mahender Nathan, Former VP Direct, Godiva
Godiva’s all about delivering a wow experience on the web. It’s all about getting great chocolate, a great presentation, great delivery experience, at every point and making sure that we’re delighting customers at the end. Monetate helps Godiva achieve that wow experience, really by helping us become more agile and really making sure the customers are seeing what’s relevant to them.
Monetate gives us the ability to deliver personalized and targeted experiences to our customers, by making it really easy to identify, who those customers actually are. Then I can use the technology that Monetate has in place, to come up with custom areas on the site to deliver individualized content that targets that audience appropriately.
Monetate has helped us move much, much faster in testing and optimization than we’ve ever been able to do before. Running the gamut from personalization tests to promotional enhancements, to make sure that the reinforcement of messages are effective and consistent. It allows us to have a new velocity and frankly, drive the business, in a way that we just haven’t been able to do before.
Everyone has talked about, in the industry, the fact that multiple images are a good thing, but how much money is it really worth investing from a photography perspective? Monetate was able to actually, help us get to a real number, that was defensible and that I feel good about, from profit and loss perspective, and without Monetate we never would have been able to do it.
We never would have been able to easily and quickly have multiple images on the site. We wouldn’t have had the bandwidth on the team to be able to support the design. We wouldn’t have been able to actually test and quantify ROI. For me, that’s the perfect model of what we can do and what we should be doing going forward. I’m really excited about it because we talked about delivering the right product, to the right person, at the right time, for over a decade and you guys are really helping us move that forward.
