Some blog posts have a specific task to perform and the role of this one is a formal announcement:
Monetate is sponsoring the “Email Marketing & Personalization Summit,” an intensive, one-day, attendance-limited event, to be held at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort in California, on February 22nd.
Now I can get back to being informal: I think this is going to be great! The summit is an information-packed event that features a series of round tables at which retailers can get seriously practical advice on a variety of hot marketing topics like the one that is being presented by Monetate CEO David Brussin:
“Up Close And Profitable: How Segmented, Targeted Marketing Drives Revenue Lift On Retail Sites”
David will be joined by a senior marketing executive from one of today’s most successful online retailers. (BTW, David is a master of this subject and if you’ve not had an opportunity to hear him talk before, this is a great chance to do so, in a controlled setting where there will be plenty of time to ask questions and engage in one-on-one discussion.)
So here’s what the brochure says about the event: “Cover every aspect of Email Marketing and Personalization in an interactive format with fellow retailers. How effective is your segmentation strategy? Are you managing your lists, personalizing your communications and getting the most ROI out of your current email program?”
But wait, there’s more: “Hear from top retailers focusing on turn-key issues affecting your email and personalization strategies in this interactive summit. Leave with actionable information for your business to optimize your email campaigns and personalization strategy for the future.” You can read more about the event here.
Like I said, this is going to be great. Where else can you can get sun, fun, email marketing AND personalization, with maybe a round of golf or spa treatments on the side!
The Email Marketing & Personalization Summit is part of eTail West 2010, the first big meetup of retailers after the dust has settled from the 2009 holiday shopping season. This event is a great chance for online retailers to compare notes and make plans for the rest of 2010. And the latest e-retailing technology will be on display from a select group of exhibitors (including some cool stuff from Monetate, of course).
I hope you can make it. The venue is the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort. I have not been to this JW before but judging by the web site the place looks like it was made for inspiration, conversation, and relaxation.
And I’ve saved what may be the best for last. If you’re a retailer who wants to attend the one day Email Marketing & Personalization Summit you can book today at the “early bird” price of $1,049.50 rather than the regular price of $1,749.00. You can also book the 2-day eTail West 2010 Conference for $699.50 right now, versus the full price of $1,399.00. Together that’s 3 days of intensive e-retail therapy, so to speak, for under two grand. Just head here to book: eTail West 2010.
